Katharine,

You thoughts touch on what I think of as the aesthetics of process, an interest central to my own writing and to my blog--which has become its own sort of Work-in-Progress.

Katherine, I remember reading about The Triangle Shirtwaist Fire when I was a kid and seeing the ILGWU ads on the subway. Still sends a chill down my spine to think about it.

Katharine, I find this really interesting. My own research is into organisational patterns within a narrative. This notion of cross narrative pattern opens up all sorts of further possibilities. I really enjoyed The Music Lesson; I'll go out now and look for your other books.

Katharine, what a fascinating look at the structure of your body of work, surely greater than the sum of it's parts. I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to Temper.
