It’s important that people see and recognize what’s going on in publishing. There are so many opportunities(especially digitally) that we can take advantage of to make sure the industry doesn’t die a slow and painful death.
Am having some success marketing myself to publishers via social media. I’d really love to a part of this exciting (can’t be pessimistic now, can we?) time:

Just wanted to add that while I’m honored to have my name mentioned here, I’m no way near being the star attraction for the Publishing Ecosystem proposed panel. O’Reilly’s Joe Wikert, FourthStoryMedia’s Lisa Holton, “Max Quick” author + CTO of Mahalo.com’s Mark Jeffrey, and PodioBooks’ Evo Terra will also be on the panel. It’s chock full of goodness – smart creative people who are making cool stuff happen with “books” (whatever those are). ps – you rock, Kassia! So does Kirk. So does anyone who reads this. Okay?
