I see this as an out-of-control essay test. Eventually we’re all going to figure out what we’re talking about.

Regarding the Buffy killing the network thing, Jim (who I thought was on this thread, but has ended up on another — he will, of course, accept responsbility for his error), wrote on this very topic this week. I will give him a free push (though, it is not necessarily as selfless as it seems):

He is no longer in a position to say I’ve never done anything for him.

Cool that I am an expert. And HEY, I like Buffy the Vampire Slayer! She didn’t kill them. She was cancelled long before the merger. Totally not her fault.

(It’s James Frey’s fault. Yeah. That’s right. And even if not, we may read about it in his next memoir. lol. See how neatly I steered that back on-topic?)

I couldn’t figure it out either, so I thought, “let it through.”

You’ll be happy to know you came up as a James Frey authority at dinner tonight. Jim (see above) was impressed that I knew, via you, there were two James Freys. The conversation then degenerated into a discussion about how Buffy The Vampire Slayer killed two perfectly nice networks.

Which is Frey and his ISBN being revoked in Brooklyn and exchanged for a FIC ID?

As an American it made me change the way I view Arabs (Muslims and Christians) in the Middle East and it also made me understand more about our foreign policy and Middle East politics.
