Penguin comes close to fulfilling a long ruminated upon fantasy of mine involving owning every volume of the Library of America. Sure, there’s no way in hell that anyone could do this — unless confining one’s self to a warren on a ramen diet without working for several years is worth the sacrifice. And yet there still exists the temptation, as unsavory and as incompatible with regular life as it may seem.

I think they had something about Amazon selling the entire collection at 40% off on Bibliophilist.com. It comes down to a decent price per book, but yikes! I would much prefer to pay a little extra per title and get just the ones I wanted.
