Perhaps because we felt ours was a little off yesterday, we thought we’d share a few articles on the concept of pacing. First, you put one foot in front of…wait, don’t listen to us. Remember, we were having problems. It’s much better to learn the art from ones who actually have a clue (come back to us when you’re in search of snappy dialogue or manuscript formatting tips). Agent Natasha Kern discusses what she likes to see in a submission. Another blog explores the questions of outlining (our opinion: sometimes good, sometimes bad, do what works for you). Carol Clarke thinks about pacing anxiety (we’re going to let that concept pass without comment). And, finally, another author explores the concept of math in writing (we’re really letting this one go by).
