I was so excited when you said there was an eReader under $100. I would really love to have one, but I have not been able to afford one until now. However, I have been bitterly disappointed with the lack of salesmanship shown by the eReader companies. Below is a letter I was about to send to Aluratek after I searched their site.

Where’s the video that shows you how easy it is to work the eReader? The Apple iPad has 3 videos that show you how to use the dang thing on the front page of their website. I don’t understand. Aren’t you serious about selling this product? Everytime I go into a store to look at an eReader, I’m astounded at how easily you all think I’m going to drop $100-$200. Most stores I’ve gone into have a fake plastic version of their eReader that doesn’t work. The Sony store’s eReader died on me in the 5 minutes I was using it.

I really, really want an excuse to spend the money and buy one, but you all don’t seem to want my money. And now my boyfriend wants us to by an iPad and share it. I’m not going to spend all that money on an electronic device if I’ve never had a chance to really try it.

And unfortunately, I haven’t been impressed with what I’ve seen anyway. But I love to read, and the idea of an electronic device dedicated to reading sounds so awesome. I just wish I could spend the money without worrying about buyer’s remorse.
