I’m still days behind in getting my Booksquare fix, pardon the delayed response.
I heard BS discuss the wonderful world of blogs at a book promotion workshop a while back, and as a result I initially started reading and posting to this blog in the hopes it would help sell my book. I thought I had either heard or read in the handouts from the organizer that in order for blogs to help a writer, she needed to be a loyal reader and commenter, not a fair weather friend who showed up in time for her release date and expected a plug. Imagine my delight at how enjoyable BS has made it to be a hanger on.
I wasn’t sure how starting my own blog would help me sell books, for all the reasons MJ Rose points out in the link. I did finally jump on the blogwagon, though. And to my surprise it has been a dream publishing tool. I now have somewhere to publish everything I feel like writing but nobody else feels like printing. Jackpot!
