Okay so I love a good gossipy fight between people as much as the next guy, and although this Alisa person sounds at least a little nutty (over 3000 words to tell your employer you quit?), it weirded me out that her claim that the United States was basically stolen was cited as one of her nuttier comments. Yes, I went to Antioch, and UC Santa Cruz before that – but even before the stinkin’ hippies got to me, I couldn’t really find another explanation for how the US came about. And, yes, I smoked too much pot during the time I was originally learning US history – but all I remember is a Louisiana purchase,as far as non-stealing goes. But you factor in who we bought it from, and even that seems like getting a nice piece of jewelry from the local fence. Didn’t most of the rest of the country get acquired through force or trickery? That’s not a rhetorical question, I’m actually asking.

Well, I agree with her political opinions, and I’m not a nut. Or maybe I am and no one’s bothered to blog about it, which means it isn’t true.
I knew people who knew her, etc. and it’s all probably overblown, just a bit.
