And imagine how difficult it is in a divorce case to claim that a spouse never supported his/her spouse’s writing career when the author spouse dedicated every single book to the other. I’ve seen several idiots try, but it’s not a particularly successful tactic. That kind of stuff can be a divorce lawyer’s best friend (and first exhibit).
