Today is the official release date of The Stone Prince, as well as my birthday. I declare this Gena Day.
I have an urge to drive to every bookstore in my state and see where they’ve placed my books, count the books to see how many are there (so I can go back later and see how many have sold), and perhaps act as a Price is Right girl, oohing and ahhing over them. I will, however, resist this urge. I will be a big girl today. I will not obsess. I will not be neurotic. I will be calm and relaxed, damn it!

And to think, all this time, I thought, “neurotic writer” was redundant.
You fight the good fight, girl, and stay out of those bookstores! (And if you do go, at least have the decency to wear a disguise.)
Yeah, right!

Alas, Lorra, the last thing we can accuse Gena of is, uh, decency! Happy, happy birthday — and what a great present, huh!
Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do!

Thank you everyone for the wonderful B-day wishes! Gena Day was a success and I enjoyed every moment of it — especially the way my Amazon number kept getting better. Uh, wait. I shouldn’t know that. Uh, what I meant to say was that someone told me how my number kept getting better. I swear. I didn’t check over and over again Really.
