It is either with pride or shame that we admit we are not a full-fledged geek. We’re thinking pride, but we also feel we should have read more Philip K. Dick. If only to say we’ve read Philip K. Dick. The books certainly sat on the coffee table long enough.

Then again, if osmosis really does work as a learning process, surely we absorbed most of the texts during rare house-cleaning moments. Check the list to see where you fall on the geek scale.

And if you’ve read more than a couple of the books on that list, you might want to take this test to find out (almost) exactly how nerdy you are.

Brenda, I cannot do this. I simply cannot know my nerd level. I have so few delusions left to cling to that discovering I might (just might) be a nerd will leave me devastated. I am still trying to recover from learning that the voice I always thought was sultry and sexy really sounds more like a cartoon character.

I knew I was missing something and between my jetlag from a trip east and some craziness after I got home, I couldn’t figure out what it was. Then I woke up this morning and thought “Booksquare!” God I missed you.
