Public Service Announcement #23

If you want to witness a real-live rant, give us a couple glasses of wine, ask us about Yahoogroups, then duck. Now we like Yahoo!, and use the My Yahoo! feature 24/7. We utilize the baseball Fantasy service (though we’d like more options on cap and jersey icons…our team is special). We adore the integration of RSS feeds (okay, we adore RSS feeds in general). But the mailing lists? Well, we’re not so thrilled.

As we’ve long suspected, Google has finally seen the mailing list light. It was only a matter of time, especially after the launch of GMail (also one of the cooler features on the face of the earth). We are very excited about this (in a good, healthy way) and look forward to our first Google list…

Do you use GMail? I need a more portable address, don’t like hotmail, but can’t seem to find anyone who’s actually given GMail a whirl.

Yes — I do use GMail. I’m very happy with it so far. I use it as my backup address and to store/receive files with extremely large attachments (I have clients who don’t know the meaning of excessive megabytes!). I’ll send you an invite to check it out (it’s still by invitation only). I’ll be migrating all my list mail to that address once I stop being so lazy.

Plus, you get the benefits of the Google search engine on your email archives.
