What We’ve Been Doing

A few may have wondered what we do with our days. Funny story, that. We’ve gotten involved in a cause: protecting the rights of journalists to keep their sources confidential. Oh, yes, we know — that’s last month’s news. We’re behind on everything in life. Sue us.

Now that we’re on the project, we’re on it with gusto. We have been studying picketing and chanting, discovering in the process that like most bloggers, we cannot do picket and chant at the same time. We’ve also learned a valuable lesson: the principle is far more important than the details. We will continue to support an award-winning reporter as she protects her sources.

Even though we don’t like ham.

“It’s a women’s magazine journalist’s job to report on recipes of this caliber fairly and accurately,” Steuber said. “But when it comes to who is behind those recipes, or how best to use the leftovers, I’m afraid I’ll have to remain silent, no matter the personal cost.”

Thanks, I needed that today. Why do I keep forgetting to bookmark The Onion?

Dang it all. I must be really tired. (Well, I am. Just got back from teaching 20 aspiring novelists in the Rockies, then immediately had to run over to UCLA and deal with the 10 at Rolfe Hall.) I got all the way to the end of this, trying to picture you with a picket sign …

As long as you were picturing me with great shoes….

Welcome home! And, yes, Brenda, you should bookmark The Onion. Probably it’s a better read than, well, this site!

Baby, you know my blogging heart will always belong to Terry, but you’re still the second best dang read on the internet.
